Guests are charged upfront through Swimply's secure payment system powered by Stripe. Your payout is directly deposited after each booking, minus our service fee.
Not at all, we give you the option to provide all the info your guests will need to help themselves. Only confirmed guests will see this info.
Of course you can! It's your house and guests only have access to the backyard and/or any other spaces you give them access to. In fact 70% of our hosts are home during bookings.
Ultimately, the choice is yours, we will show you other successful listings similar to yours to give you an idea of a good starting price. Once you list, our Host Care Team is readily available to help assist with pricing your space and hand over any other golden tips we may have. You can always start a bit lower and once you see what people are willing to pay, raise your rate.
Providing a restroom is entirely optional! 80% of hosts do provide a restroom as it allows them to charge more per hour and accept longer reservations. Some hosts happen to have a restroom outside specifically for the space use which is cool, and some provide instructions for guests to use a side/back door to allow minimal access to the home. You can also find a local porta-potty company to drop off, clean and pick a portable bathroom for a couple hundred bucks a month.
Listing on Swimply is completely free, we only make money after you do. Swimply works on a commission basis and takes 15-25% of the booking price to support the marketing, app infrastructure, Host Guarantee, Host Support and more.
