Enjoy a day at the pond with your own private beach and dock for great fishing, walking, relaxing, and swimming. Fully stocked pond with an over abundance of fish. Keep any bass, bluegill, or crappie fish caught. Please catch and release the Walleye because they are not established yet. You can also fish the river behind the berm.
Live nightcrawler seem to work the best for catching fish consistently. The Meijer store or gasoline station up the road usually has DMF bait available for purchase. Farm and Fleet, also up the street, has bait but DMF is better quality in my experience.
Bring your ATVs or dirtbikes as well to ride around.
Warning: The floating dock is at the deep end of the pond, so do not use the dock or jump off unless you can swim. Children must be monitored and wear life jackets in the event they fall in because the dock floats, it can and does move unexpectedly and sways causing instability for people on the dock and swaying.
Do not dive head first off dock either because there are chains to cinderblocks holding it in place.
Paddle boat and paddle board provided. Walking trail around the pond with various spots made for fishing locations.
Pond water is professionally monitored and maintained by McCloud Acquatics out of Elburn.
New for 2025 is a 25 foot water trampoline. Please do not fish around it because fish hooks can puncture the tubing. *AS OF 8/16/25 THIS IS OUT OF THE WATER DUE TO THE HIGH WIND STORM AND WILL NOT BE PUT BACK IN UNTIL APRIL 2026*
Swimming is at your own risk. No lifeguard present.
You can grill out or even door-dash Portillos or have Pizza Villa delivered since you are on the edge of the City of DeKalb.
Public restroom just minutes way located at 380 Bethany Rd., DeKalb, IL 60115, at P.A. Neihring Forest Preserve.
